Ok, until my mom is home and the dust from this entire traumatic health crisis has settled, any posts here are going to be just casual updates - my brain is mush y’all!

I totally agree with you regarding cutting your hair (your hair looks super cute btw) Cutting my hair is my go to stim in moments when I feel overwhelmed, it grounds me. Now, I'm also dyspraxic so I've ended up with some pretty awful haircuts but as you say, it grows back or I can always wear a hat for a bit.
I'm so very happy to hear about your mom! My mom did the same whenever she landed herself in the hospital; she'd start arguing with the nurses (she was a doctor) and then I knew she'd be okay. Much love.
