This was immensely helpful, from one writer to another. My next book is MUCH more personal than my first two and, frankly, I've been dragging my butt on finishing the first draft because of this. You're incredible - thank you for how well thought-out this is :)
It used to be, not that many years ago, the internet trolls, the people behind the screens, were bold and brave because they were behind the screen. They wouldn't dare say to your face what they said behind their screen because the screen gave then anonymity. The last few years, that has all changed. It seems like the majority of the trolls now would gladly say these same things to a person in front of their own children, thus teaching their kids that it's o.k. to be a horrible human being. It makes me really scared for the future. I'm so sorry you have dealt with all you have, it truly must be so tiring. I enjoy your writing. Thanks.
This one was especially great. Fears about internet backlash or going viral in a bad way are a big barrier for me. Thank you for absolutely nailing this anxious topic and making these types of possible (if often unlikely) situations feel more approachable and manageable.
The cracker barrel incident is how I found out about you & your wonderful writing. Then I read your first book: SO great!
Thanks for this newsletter.

This is terrifying and I want to save this post so many times. Thank you.
