You wrote exactly what I was thinking. I am also not OK, but reading Ijeoma's post reminded me that I've been here before and that there is a lot I can do (and am already doing) to become OK again. Sending you some of my small store of hope for better days, Kris.

It is far, far better to be not-OK together with others, even internet strangers, than to be not-OK alone. Thank you.

Thanks so much for writing this - I also doubled down on therapy the last few years and although I despaired for a week after the election I have gradually reclaimed my joy. I have built a seed bank in my secret heart.

Therapy is amazing! It's such a difficult process, but it saved my life. So glad you were able to find a therapist you connected with! This a such great news.

For people of color needing a therapist, there is the Washington Therapy Fund Foundation. (therapyfundfoundation DOT org). This organization helps one find Black therapists, free and low cost therapy and therapists who are allies.

For allies, this is a great charity to support. It can make a huge impact to those who are dealing with the stress and trauma of racism. This is crucial now as we enter another Trump presidency.

Getting a diagnosis is huge, too. As you know, women wait so much longer to get a diagnosis. It's frustrating the standards are so slanted towards men when it comes to testing for Autism. There is so much work to do in the world of Autistic understanding and neurodivergence, in general, but women really struggle to be properly evaluated and treated.

As more women are evaluated and diagnosed, my hope is there will be greater recognition and understanding of Autistic women.
