While people who have been abused are not inherently lacking privilege in other ways, I see some of the similar actions. People use the term restorative justice - a beautiful thing! - to NOT hold harm-doers accountable.

I like what Levar Burton said that he prefers to think of it as “consequence culture”. Those who have not been cited for harm done are finally being named. I always think the online world is a microcosm of the real one, with all its prejudices and propensities for silencing marginalized groups. Do we have to make lasting change in the real world for it to be reflected even in supposedly equitable social spaces? What would it take? Is that even reasonable to ask when the very social agreements we make are not supposed to be present? Heavy.
